After a week with no music...

Despite my deep love of music, I actually don’t listen to the radio in my car very frequently (and when I do, I’m usually tuned to a sports station because I can’t be watching the game on TV.) This mainly has to do with my stubborn likely-incorrect thoughts about the radio unnecessarily draining my battery and distracting my driving, but that doesn’t mean that I still don’t enjoy listening to music in my car. I will always have the radio on with friends because that’s just something I love.

Anyway, the point of my rambling is to say that due to my lack of listening to the radio in the car, I don’t’ always have a good sense as to what the Top 40 songs at the moment are. Right now, I could probably list off maybe 5 songs that would be on it. That’s why I love taking some time out of my weekend to listen to the Billboard Top 100- as far as I can go!

So, without listing super-way-too-many-songs, here are my favorite songs of the moment from the Billboard Top 10:

#2: Uptown Funk – Mark Ronson ft Bruno Mars

Ok, so this is one of the songs on the list that I have heard before, but this is probably the first time I’ve heard it full-through. Oh yeah- this is fun!!! I love the sax and sass. This is probably my choice for “Song of the Summer” before it’s officially summer. :D Plus, have you seen their moves? Too cool.

#6: Earned It- The Weeknd

I find this one intriguing. While I completely disapprove that this is from Fifty Shades of Grey, I do really like the tempo and alluring singing. Though the lyrics are fully questionable. Still. I’m interested. (WHYYYYYYYYYY?????)

#7: Love Me Like You Do- Ellie Goulding

Somehow, this one is also from Fifty Shades of Grey (I'm trying so hard to ignore this fact). Yet, I love the catchy rhythm and setting. Grah!!! While the music video is for the movie, I really like the two dancers having it out. It pushes it over the top.

#9: Shut Up and Dance- Walk the Moon

I love Walk the Moon. This is possibly the greatest “story song” out there right now, and it makes me want to write a book around this entire premise. This is also a top contender for “Song of the Summer.”

TLDL: Music is great. Some movies are questionable, but music is still great. ;)
With love,
Amber

I don't keep up much with the top songs, but these were pretty good :) It's funny that half of your favorites came from 50 shades though lol

I know!! I only went with the Billboard Top 10 for this, but apparently the soundtrack is a big thing...

I love "Shut Up and Dance!" That's one of my favorites right now. Also, since I'm currently in the UK, it's been fun listening to the radio here and finding new music that isn't playing on US radio stations at the moment. I've been meaning to go on BBC Radio 1's website and look at the top songs to add them to my playlist.
Oh, and have you heard the new Mumford and Sons song, "Believe" yet? There are no banjos, but I still love it.

Yes! I was actually hoping you'd introduce some top UK songs to us sometime! :)
And I love "Believe." It's excellent for sure! (Though I don't mind them not having banjos :P ) I think I'd heard it once before, but I really appreciate it more after just sitting and listening to it. :)

If you haven't heard it all ready, you guys should hear Walk the Earth's "Rule the World" I heard it on the radio here in Canada and it's super catchy! According to my friend, Walk the Earth is a popular band who started off doing covers and they're just now started releasing their own stuff
