Ok. Minor rant. Why must NBC insist on time-delaying the most popular events? Personally, I feel they should offer those events live, not just online as they are thankfully doing. I mean, yes, I understand their ratings will go up if they show those events at night. Still. Can’t they just show them at both times? I mean, I’m looking at the actual tv listings at the NBC Olympic website, and there are channels not being used. Show the coverage on one of those! Please! I mean, I’m going to watch it online live and then later in primetime as well. It’s worth a re-showing and a re-viewing, so why not show it twice?!
Work is going well! There’s only one week left of my internship, and I am determined to finish my program with as many options as they’d like me to accomplish. Hopefully I’ll get them all done… I had a bit of a scare Thursday when my group mentor found a major flaw in the application. Thankfully, I fixed it, and it really hasn’t affected performance. Still. That was really, really scary, and I’m still working on completing testing over the next week to make sure that doesn’t happen again. It’s hard to be 100% positive on it, though, as you really do need other people testing it to check all of its components. One more week!!!!! Then I’ll finally have some time for summer…
Assuming I’m not including my prep for taking the GRE. My hope is to take it August 11th, so I have a bit more time to continue my prep. I did a personal challenge and completed 50 pages of my GRE prep book per day for 4 days- the only section I have left is the Analytical Writing section, which honestly really scares me. I’m hopeful that it won’t be as bad as I’m worried it will be… I just find it tedious lol. So there’s more prep for me over the next couple weeks. I haven’t signed up yet (still!), but very soon I shall do so.
That’s about it for me this week… except for the awesome fact that my apartment now has furniture!!!!! =D Anna Katherine moved in last night… and I wasn’t there to see it because she arrived after I came home. I’m really excited to see it Sunday night- yay!
In honor of the Olympics, I’ve chosen the following song as the song of the week… I really am glad that Paul McCartney got to close the Opening Ceremony this way. I found his entire performance wonderfully moving, and I’d love to see a Beatles resurgence happen because of it :)
The Beatles- “Hey Jude”
