So much to do...

Hello from soooooo behind on homework it’s ridiculous. Because of that, I’m not going to spend too much time on this- I seriously have to get some work done before my Art class tonight. So, the past week has been fine. We had to draw a horse upside down in Art last week, which was an interesting experience. I went to the dorm Friday night, and Jill, AB, and I had adventures. Mostly we went to Wal-Mart and Jill cooked dinner. At 10 at night. You guys really should pay more attention to mealtimes… but it was fun! Then they came over Saturday to watch Doctor Who, and after that we ended up catching the end of the WKU vs. UK game. Most of that was spent wondering what was actually going on- How does this overtime thing work? What exactly is a two point conversion? How do they get those arrows on the field? Oh look, we won!-is pretty much exactly how that experience went. We have so much school
spirit…:P Other than that, I went to class and didn’t get my homework done in a timely manner. Which is why I have to get going! Have some Questions!

AB:
Imagine you’re a Time Lord and you get to pick one person THAT YOU ACTUALLY KNOW BY NAME RIGHT NOW IN REAL LIFE to travel with you through time and space. Who would you pick?

Hmmm… Liam?
Who should play the next Doctor, and when do you think he’ll regenerate?
Liam should play the next Doctor! That would be epic!!!! As far as the when goes, I don’t really know. Probably not this season, so Matt Smith will be there longer than David Tennant. I haven’t watched any of the old series, so I don’t really know how long a typical regeneration lasts. Maybe next season?
There are people who want the Doctor to regenerate into a woman. What would you think if that happened?
I think it’d be pretty awkward to have him as a husband if he turned into a woman…
Really, though, I think there are just some things about the Doctor that are constant throughout his lives: he’s always English, he’s never ginger (though I’d be ok if he got to live out this dream just once :P), and he’s always a man. I don’t think that will ever change,
though I guess it would be interesting to see how the writers did it.
If you could assemble a team of five people from history to go on adventures with you, who would you pick? (They have to be real people)
Abraham Lincoln, Albert Einstein, Joan of Arc, Mother Teresa, and Jesus.
Who’s your favorite president?
Lincoln! Even in his non-vampire-slaying form, he’s pretty awesome.
What are your views on capital punishment?
I haven’t really thought much about capital punishment. I guess I think most crimes are not worthy of it, like the kind that hurt things instead of people (stealing and corporate crimes, for example), but there may be crimes serious enough to warrant it. But I don’t really know.
Can blogs ever count as essays?
If your teacher says so!
What do you think is your best survival skill for the zombie apocalypse? (This must be a skill you already possess)
Well, it would certainly be helpful to be cautious in the zombie apocalypse :) I can’t really shoot guns or wield machetes, though, so I would probably be in a lot of trouble.
What do you imagine the weirdest technological development will be in the next ten years?
I am not imaginative enough for these kinds of questions :/ Commercial space travel?
What do you think will happen on December 21, 2012?
We will have a really fun party!
What would make all the batteries in everything die all at once?
The Doctor could probably do that. Or some kind of weird electricity-sucking field thing. Or the Vashta Nerada.
Are there any new fall TV shows you plan on watching?
Elementary sounds interesting. I haven’t been paying attention to when it starts, though. I may have missed it already.
Where is the strangest place you’ve ever been with pajamas on?
I don’t go many places in my pajamas. Though I have taken movie rentals back that way.
Which is better: making a wish at 11:11 or wishing on a star?
I think… 11:11. I’m never outside at dark to catch the first star, so it’s a lot easier to see the time on my watch.

Jill:
How did your parents meet?
My parents met in high school through mutual friends. They were high school sweethearts <3
It’s snack time: would you like something sweet or savory (exclude chocolate :P)
Why is this even a question? Snack=sweet. Every time.
You have been declared dictator of the world. What is your first decree?
To set up a chocolate tax- everyone in the world has to give me chocolate at set intervals!
Lol, but really, my first decree would be to set up elected governments in all the former countries. I don’t want to be in charge of the whole world- way too much work.
What is your least favorite movie?
The original Three Musketeers was pretty bad. Seriously, I thought old movies were supposed to be moral and good?
When was the last time you got in trouble at school?
Uuuuuuhhhhhmmmmmmm. Well, I don’t think I’ve gotten in trouble for anything since I’ve been in college. So in high school…Ms. Houchens got on me for my handwriting a lot, does that count? And I know I got in trouble for talking several times. I just don’t remember when the last one was :/
Do you have a favorite website? (other than YouTube and Facebook)
Google is nice. Does it count? Also the Purdue Owl is very helpful.
What’s that behind you?
The carpet?
How are you feeling about the current season of Doctor Who so far?
Kinda meh. I mean, I’m happy for new episodes and all, but I just haven’t been as excited to watch this season. I feel like it’s partly that we’re seeing the slow decline of the Ponds, and it seems like at this point it’s just dragging out and I’d really like to see the new companion-especially after the teaser we got from the first episode. I want to know what’s going on! There’s also the fact that Amy and Rory are only really temp companions at this point. They have one adventure and then go home for awhile before they’re ready for the next one. All that time alone really does not bode well for the Doctor (as evidenced by the last episode), and I really don’t like seeing him like that. I feel like once the new companion comes in, the Doctor can be happy again, and therefore I will too :D
Why is school so stressful sometimes?
Because we’ve never learned good time management skills, so all the procrastination just exacerbates what could otherwise be a much less stressful situation. Or is that just me?
What’s the strangest remedy for the common cold you’ve heard of?
Rest and fluids is about the only remedy for the common cold I’ve heard of.
What’s *that* thing behind you? No, not that one. The other ominous thing.
Still just the carpet. Oh, do you mean that dark shadow lurking just out of sight? I hadn't noticed it before. I'm sure it'll be fine. Wait, where'd it go? I guess it's gone. Huh, I have another shadow. Where's it coming from? Oh well, I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm sure it'll be fine. I'm su
If you could only see one color and everything else was black and white, what color would you pick?
Ummmmmmm
Well, not blue. Blue is supposed to be a depressing color, so just seeing blue would be sad. How about red? Then my life would be like the last scene of Phantom of the Opera. Love that movie <3 Plus I think red gives a better contrast to black and white than another color would.

I think Jill deserves to win this week! She had fun questions, and didn’t wait until the very last minute (though she was close) when I thought I was done with questions to post. Plus the "what's that thing behind you?" made me laugh :) Now I’m off to do homework. Bye guys!

Love,
Sara

You've never felt like having something savory for a snack? I do quite a bit.
Are you talking about the Three Musketeers movie watched with the fencing club?
1) What makes you think all old movies are moral and good? movies are movies, they come in varieties
2) What didn't you like about it. I enjoyed it enough.

"Still just the carpet. Oh, do you mean that dark shadow lurking just out of sight? I hadn't noticed it before. I'm sure it'll be fine. Wait, where'd it go? I guess it's gone. Hey I like blue! It's not always depressing!

Woot! another win!

Yeah, your answer to the shadow question is possibly my favorite Question Tuesday moment ever.

You don't *know* Liam...but close enough.
That's the first time I've heard cautiousness put forth as a skill, especially a zombie apocalypse skill. I like that.
About weird technology--What about computers or holograms that are projected on or come out of a person's hand? Do you think that will ever be a thing? I saw a commercial last night that made me think of that.
You're probably right. I think a 2012 party is necessary.
You haven't missed Elementary. It comes on the 27th at 9, I think. But that's a stupid fencing night... :p Hey, if you record it, can I watch it with you? It won't be as good as Sherlock on the BBC, but I have to get my Sherlock Holmes fix somehow, so I want to watch Elementary.

You might be able to watch Elementary on Hulu?

Hulu has gone to crap. It doesn't put new things on for like 8 days. Or at least, that's what happens when I try to watch Glee.

but if you never actually watch the show on TV, it's basically the same. You'll just be a week behind anyone who watches on TV

Going along with Jill's question, what makes a movie "moral and good," and can a movie be too moralistic?
What is your criteria for enjoying a movie?
What's your favorite kind of doughnut?
What makes a person approachable?

I feel like I've asked this before, but probably because I was talking about it with Jill: Suppose you get to choose your last words. What would you want them to be?
Also, why did the writers of 7th Heaven give Lucy the only non-Biblical name? (All the other kids are Matt, Mary, Simon, Ruthie, Sam, and David)

Do you believe that out of billions of people in the world, there is one person you're supposed to be with (romantically), or are there more options? Are there different people who could be "the one" at different points in your life, and it just depends on which one you find?

More love-themed questions:
Can a person be "in love" without their significant other being "the one?" In other words, I guess, can you be in love multiple times before finding the person you marry, or is "love" only applied to the person you end up with?
In a sentence or less, how do you define being "in love?"
