So anyway, on to the important stuff. Since no one except my mom attempted to guess what my day trip last Friday was, she automatically wins the still-undetermined prize! Yay Mommy! And she was partially correct: I did go to London for a day. And I was in a FLASH MOB! That's right. Checking that off the bucket list. Not only that, but I'm going to be on the telly! The flash mob was organized and filmed for the opening sequence of Britain's Got Talent, which airs later this month in England, and will be available on YouTube eventually, I'm sure. So keep on the lookout for me and my friends Nathan and Abby (another WKU student).
Also, during my London trip I climbed a lion in Trafalgar Square, twice, and found the most magical places on earth: Trocadero and M&Ms World!!! They were ridiculously awesome, and right next to each other in Picadilly Circus. Oh my goodness, TROCADERO! No wonder the Nerdfighters had a gathering there. It's everything a Nerdfighter--or anyone--could ever want. I'm talking about an internet cafe, a movie theater, numerous candy shops complete with PYRAMIDS of sweets, a bungee-flippy-bouncy trampoline thing, a mechanical bull, a manga toy store, and a store COMPLETELY DEVOTED TO PANDAS and other cute Asian pieces of cuteness! And then right next door, with music blaring, was a multi-story...place...thing...of M&Ms! There were even M&M statues crossing a replica of Abbey Road. Yes, it was almost too much awesome to handle.
So that was my Friday in magical, beautiful London! What did I do for the rest of the week? Well, I hung out with my host family, studied for a British Studies exam, freaked out and then calmed down over my non-existent term paper, and watched about a billion different clips from Hunger Games red carpet premieres. Unfortunately, I didn't make it to the premiere in London last night. I was thinking of trying to go stand outside and scream my head off in excitement, but I had an exam until 4, and then there were secret garden tours, and cuddly lambs, and a bonfire.
So my week has been pretty cool. As for this weekend, I'll be sticking around the manor to work on my term paper (in which the research consists of watching movies--yay being a film major!), and then going to Belton House with my host family on Sunday after church. Then who knows what the next week will bring...oh wait, I do. PARIS and HUNGER GAMES next weekend!!!
