My week has been quite filled with Doctor Who actually. Now that it's summer and I have some real free time, I've decided to finally watch all of the show up to the current episodes. I started the first season Sunday and am now at the beginning of season four. I love marathoning tv shows. And sorry Anna Beth for skipping Sherlock for now, it's next on the list.
For mother's day, my mom and I went to get pedicures, ate a big group-mom-date with some of my mom's friends and they're kids at Mellow Mushroom (delicious!), then went to see Cats at Skypac. I saw Dwain and his family there as well. The show was really good, but the audience was kind of disappointing. Most people were ok, but as soon as the show was over and while the actors were giving their final bow, a large group of people just up and left. I mean, everyone on stage was doing their best after a great performance to get the audience involved in dancing around and clapping with a last little song and dance and half the audience was completely ignoring them so they can leave as fast as possible. I thought it was very rude. Why not have a good time, soak it all in instead of trying to beat everyone to the parking lot? It's not like waiting in the car is the worst thing ever, and you probably won't beat the traffic jam anyway. Sorry, rant over now. There was also a small exhibition of some awesome wild horse photography. It was very impressive.
On Monday I watched a 4 hour livestream by the ApprenticeEh crew in honor of their 500th vlog. BTW, I'm not completely obsessed with them. Livestreams are just kinda special. There is more interaction among viewers and with the people on screen. Oh, and they answered 2 of my questions! :D fun stuff. Oh, and Anna Beth, Alex Carpenter was in the chatstream as well. Thought you might enjoy knowing that.
Oh and Shelby, I just got your letter about Haiti funding lol. Guess it was quite a bit late.
I think the thing I'm looking forward to most about the road trip is the roadside scenery honestly. I've seen plenty of East Coast roads, trees, and mountains. I'm excited to see the differences there might be on the West Coast, especially the more deserty areas. Oh, and I can't wait to see the Grand Canyon and just spend a lot of quality time with everyone. And I definitely can't wait to play many rounds of 'Cows', one of the best roadtrip games around. Sara, Anna Beth, Amy, Shelby, and I had our first taste of the game on our way to drop Shelby off at the airport.
Ok, I don't think I have anything else to say and I'd rather pay attention to the people in the room at the moment so bye for now!
Love,
Jill
