My birthday was wonderful! I was (again) surprised by going to dinner with Mark, my roommates, and some of my Victory friends, which was wonderful. Afterwards, Mark and I went for a long walk in Centennial Park at night, and he gave me the cutest presents (a stuffed cheetah and a coffee mug with two otters holding paws on it). EEEEEEEEEEEEEK! I think it's safe to say that he knows what I like/need. :) All in all, turning 20 isn't really that terrible, even if I do feel old lol. Here's to hoping being 20 is even more amazing than being 19 (it has a lot to work toward ;)
Unfortunately, besides the awesomeness that was my birthday, I had a lot of homework and projects due this week... all of which severely cut into my sleep time. I basically spent the second night I was 20 not sleeping. First all-nighter of the year? I think yes. (sadly) Only 2 and a half weeks in? That's Vandy. Still, I got all of the work done, and now I'm spending my days trying to make sure I don't get that bogged down in work again. I need a holiday to catch up, I think. Why can't students just elect to take a random study-break day? That would be awesome.
I went to a wedding last weekend! I was so happy to see two of my friends who graduated last year get married- they make a lovely couple, and I wish them the best. I wasn't really close enough to the front to catch the bouquet, but somehow Mark managed to catch the garter (again). *blushes* It's just really hilarious to me... though the comments everyone kept making made us squirm a bit. It's all in good fun :)
Now I'm off to celebrate my birthday at my uncle's house! Swimming, cake, and delicious home-cooked food are in my future! =D Love you guys! <3 Here's something a bit different... Kind of like a modern swing, and it has a really hilarious video too. Check it out! ;)
