Back in freshman year I decided that this was the group for me. They're quirky, incredibly friendly and open, and really know how to have fun! I auditioned for the group with "The Trolley Song" from Meet Me in St. Louis (fitting, eh?) and was thrilled with an a cappella surprise the next night when the whole group bombarded me in my dorm with a welcome song to the tune of "Little Shop of Horrors."
I am currently Morale Chair for the group, which means that I work in the FUUUUUUN department! But seriously. I'm essentially a life coach for the group: if someone's having a bad day, I cheer 'em up! If someone just wants to talk, they pick the time & place, and I meet 'em there for a pow wow. I also organize parties, social events, and our retreat!
I've learned more about singing from being a part of this group than anywhere else. I've been able to work on my chest voice and realized that I prefer the sultry deep alto voice to the soprano. As of now though, I am a soprano, though in the video below I sing alto.
