Victory retreat was this weekend! We’ve been holding open rehearsals for potential new members to come and check us out and have had a good turnout on both days that we’ve held them! Praise God- we now have fairly even numbers in our group! We had four new people join Victory and come on retreat- plus, a few others may join, despite not going on retreat. I’m really excited for this new year (and the Victory babies! (as we call them) EEEEEEEEEEK!) Mark wants us to adopt a new son/daughter from the Victory babies… we’ll see. ;) I’m just happy that everyone on retreat had a great time! We even went wading in the creek at the farm- I felt so Southern for the first time in my life lol :P
I’m going to a wedding tomorrow! My friends Matt and Tori are being married at a local church tomorrow evening, and I am super excited to see them tomorrow! I’ve pretty much spent today meeting so many wonderful people who are back in town for their wedding- including my soprano buddy Kelsey!!! I loved seeing her today! =D She’s currently in Dallas studying at seminary, and it was wonderful to hear how God has been working in her life over the past couple of months. <3 Plus, I also got to see Roy (the BCM minister’s best friend who went on SPOTS last March) and give him a giant hug. *squeals* So much wonderful.
Classes are… awesome. I love them. As in, three of my four main CS classes I am really enjoying right now- and I’m loving doing my work for them! Weird, right?! Unfortunately, I have even more work this weekend than last… and I have no idea where the time will come from for me to do my homework this weekend, what with Victory retreat, the wedding, the Doctor Who season premier tonight (cough, cough, which is completely necessary, right? ;) , etc. It’ll get done. Somehow. XD
I’ll end this week’s blog with this: I love you guys. You are all such wonderful friends, and I am so blessed to have you in my life. I know this is randomly sentimental, but I just wanted you to know. :)
The song of the week is….. well, just awesome. It’s pretty popular on the radio right now, but it’s been stuck in my head in a good way for a while. :) Enjoy!
