Hello from off-campus land
It’s official. Amy is no longer an illegal alien residing in my room! She moved in yesterday so we are now legitimate roommates. It’s nice not having the responsibility of being the only one with a key to the room.
All in all, it’s been a fairly uneventful week. One of the highlights of course was getting to video chat with Anna Beth and Shelby! We all need to find a time where we can chat in the Google+ hangouts in the next few weeks! The other interesting thing is that I just got back from turning in an application for a mission trip with the College ministry over spring break. (Thanks again, Shelby, for being one of my references!) So, hopefully I’ll be spending the beginning of March in the city of Fargo helping out businesses, building some relationships, and working with church planters who graduated from Western. I mentioned the trip to Sara last night, and she said something along the lines of, “you’re going to Fargo? Isn’t that in Scotland?” lol. Sadly, no. I will not be satisfying closer to Anna Beth. Instead I will be traveling to the far off, magical land of Fargo,…..North Dakota. Lol.
Also, my first official fencing tournament is tomorrow (not counting the Border Brawl with MTSU last year). I’m quite excited, but I do not look forward to waking up at 6:30am. Ugh…
But, yeah, that’s kinda all I have to talk about this week. I gotta run so I can go to dinner with my family for my mom’s birthday!
So, my ‘awesome’ pick of the week is something I stumbled upon while spending too much time on YouTube (as is the norm).

You guys can ignore the video that’s playing, the interesting bit is the first song that’s playing. It’s a cover of Katy Perry’s ‘Teenage Dream.’ It took me a little while into to the song to realize the band had changed the lyrics a little to something that I found much cuter and more awesome. Yeah, nothing overly awesome this week, I just wanted to share my little surprise from the other day.
