So! It’s the last week of school, yay! My first two finals were today, though technically one of them doesn’t count. We’ve already taken our final for ASL, we just came to class today to watch the videos we all made. Jill and I signed Green Eggs and Ham. That was an experience… Jill has the video on YouTube, so you can see what we had to go through if you want. Because
signing that story was NOT as easy as it sounds. Another group ended up signing Sexy and I know it. It was pretty hilarious :D
In other news, I went to the mini corvette races Saturday! Have you guys ever been to those? They’re pretty cool, and my Dad got to drive one of the cars! He almost got first place in the silver cup race, but his team ended up getting disqualified for pitting too early or some such
nonsense. Literally, though, he finished the race first! It was awesome!
Oh yeah! And thanks for giving me jokes, guys! They were amusing, but I think my favorite was Dwain’s grammar nazi question. It made me happy :)
And you know what else makes me happy? Amy! She’s pretty awesome. I needed to print a project to turn in with my Literacy final this morning, but I forgot my ID! So Amy got up and let me print it from her account. Cause she’s awesome like that.
So, anyways, on to questions. I think these are from Jill:
What thing that you haven't yet done would you most like to do?
Travel to Europe. Especially Britain, Spain, and Italy.
Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?
Not until now. And that world would be really boring. Not to mention stagnant. The only way to improve things is to imagine them different. So a world of no hypothetical situations would have no innovations or advancements. The only change would come purely by accident.
Plus, you know, this whole Question Tuesday thing probably wouldn’t work out very well…
(p.s., I was just thinking how I have to be in a world with hypothetical situations in order to even imagine a world without them. Your question couldn’t exist in that world!)
What is something from your life that is most likely, or what you would most want, to end up in a museum?
The Best Teacher in the Universe award that I’m bound to win sooner or later :P
If you had to relive one year of your life over and over, what year would you pick?
This reminds me of Anna Beth’s (I think) question about reliving a day of your life indefinitely. And I feel like the answers are similar. If I had to relive a year of my life over and over, I’d want to pick the best year of my life, which hopefully hasn’t happened yet. If I had to pick a year, though, it’d probably be 2010. A lot of cool things happened that year :)
If you could only dress in one color for the rest of your life, what would you pick?
I feel like I would look really awful if I had to wear a single color for the rest of my life… How about black? It’s always in style, right? And besides, it works pretty well for Goths. Why not me? :P
Can you have too much internet? (not as in you as an individual being on the internet, more like can too much of the virtual world exist?)
Yeah, there are certainly places where I don’t want the Internet to go. Some things are disgusting and inappropriate, and shouldn’t be anywhere, much less the Internet. Plus, if it got to the point where the internet just completely encompassed everything that the real world could offer, I feel like that would be pretty bad for the human race. We’d all just sit inside on our computers all day, suffering from lack of Vitamin D and never interacting face to face with another human being. As much as the internet tries to, it can’t (and shouldn’t) beat actually interacting with people in real life.
Can you have too much moderation?
Moderation, like most things, is best in moderation. In general, it’s usually to moderate things: behavior, spending, Internet surfing, etc. There are times, though, when it’s good for you to give yourself a treat. Splurge a little on something you really want, eat that extra cookie, go on that expensive road trip… I mean, a life spent completely in moderation would
be safe, yes, but it would also be routine and boring. So, yes, you can have too much moderation.
Can you have too much bandwidth?
Bandwidth? That has something to do with the internet right? Isn’t it, like, what limits how much stuff you can run all at once? Yes. Too much bandwidth is when people never get off the computer because they can run a million programs at once and don’t feel like real life is necessary anymore.
For this next part, Jill suggested that I answer all the questions that Hank asked Charlie in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzrVdHGadUw (which John decided to answer in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhcJz34dyrM). So that’s where the following
questions came from:
Can you say good morning John?
Why yes, my vocal chords are in fact functioning :) Of course, if they weren’t, I could also sign it. Cause I’m awesome like that :P
How are you doing?
Pretty good. Semester’s almost over, you know. So that’s always nice.
How’s Missoula?
It seems nice. I’ve never been there, though, so I can’t really say.
What was the last thing you screamed at?
I think it was that spider thing that kept crawling on me when we (me, Shelby, Jessica, and Jill) were sitting out behind Snell. If that counts as a scream.
If you could eliminate a word from the English language, what would you
eliminate?
Probably the f word. I hear it waaaaayyyy too often for my liking.
If you could kill baby Hitler, would you kill baby Hitler?
No. I couldn’t kill a little baby…
What was your worst challenge?
I don’t think this question is very applicable to me,
seeing as I have never done anything like Challenge Charlie.
What will you tattoo on you?
Ick, nothing. Tattoos are painful and permanent… If I absolutely had to, I’d probably just get a tiny heart, like on my ankle or somewhere unobtrusive like that. Cause I’m creative J
Do you find that you are exceptionally gassy?
… guys are so weird.
Do you spend more time writing a video or editing a video?
Well, the last few videos a made for VEDA involved very little editing, so probably writing.
Do you spend more time, like, making the video as a whole, or playing video
games?
I don’t really play video games. But I don’t make videos
that often either…
Since you like playing video games so much do you want to go play video games right now?
…nope
And now for some Questions from Rachael!
If you wrote a book, what genre would it be? Would it be for children, teens, or
adults?
Probably for kids. I don’t think I’m capable of creating a long story, so it would be, like, a picture book. Where someone else drew the pictures. But that won’t happen. I had to make a picture book for one of my classes this semester, and it was not a very pleasant
experience…
How was the sushi? I
didn't get to see your reaction on Jill's vlog...
mmmmm..man puko sounds so
good right now...
The sushi was… survivable. But it was really squishy and
weird. I want nothing more to do with it.
And Jill put it on YouTube. So if you still haven’t seen
it, you can go there.
Is it
ethical to kill/eat animals? Should it be considered specie-ism?
As an omnivore, I’m going to have to say yes. We are by
far not the only animal in the world that eats other animals. It’s part of the
food chain, and I don’t think we should have any reason to feel guilty about it.
What do you mean by specie-ism, though? Are we supposedly discriminating
against animals or something?
If you could live in another time period,
other than this one, what would it be?
Sometimes I think it’d be cool to live in
Pride and Prejudice times, because I love Jane Austen books so much and I’d want
to have a story like Jane’s or Elizabeth’s. But then I think about how they
didn’t have air conditioning, or very good medicine, and how I’d more likely be
lower class than upper class like the book characters, and how it’s just a book,
and most people’s lives probably didn’t work out like that. So I’d probably
actually go with the more recent past, despite the atrocious fashion trends.
Unless I could pick a future time period? That would probably be better for my
spoiled 21stcentury self
:)
And that’s all we have time for today, kids! This week’s
Question Tuesday winner is Jill! Cause I’ve missed having too much questions to
answer. So be sure to leave Questions in the comments, and I’ll be back next
week! (when it’ll be summer break! Woohoo!)
