Hello from Nashville! This weekend has been wonderful… because four awesome people just visited me! I was so excited when Jill, Anna Beth, Sara, and Rachael said they could come down and visit Friday and Saturday- and I hope I’m right in saying we had a blast! We did everything from visiting a really awesome bookstore in Hillsboro to swimming this afternoon and staying up late talking about the craziest things (ice blue ducklings, anyone?) I loved having you guys visit- thanks again for coming! :) And come back soon!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
Overall, my week has been pretty good! Colorado was amazing- I was really sad that I had to return back earlier than my mom and sister and leave behind my wonderful niece and nephews! I love spending time with them and my brother and his wife in Colorado, and I feel that every time I go out there, I just find myself wishing I could stay even longer… There’s talk of my family returning during fall break, which would be wonderful! I’d get to visit them again and see their new house, which should be finished being built by that time, so hopefully I’ll get to look forward to that. :)
Another important note is that the program/application/plugin that I’ve been working on this summer is almost complete! It’s really rewarding to see something finally take shape and have the results you were hoping for… There’s 2 weeks left in my internship, and I will try to make the best of them and finish the project’s frayed ends. Plus, I had to give a presentation of my work on Friday… and it went well! =D I was really nervous about it, but I’m so relieved it was fine. I give the same presentation on Tuesday in front of an even larger group, and I hope it goes as well as Friday’s presentation did. :)
More fabulosity (yes, I love this word, although I didn’t realize it was only a word in urban dictionary) : I have officially watched all of Brotherhood 2.0! YES! Obsession: most definitely. Watching all of the vlogbrothers’ videos: happening. DFTBA: always. Actually, would anyone mind if I changed Saturday's title to being DFTBA Saturday, or Singing Saturday, or something even more awesome? (suggestions welcome) I don't exactly do Spanish soap operas, but I wish Sanaa still could!
Regardless, I feel it’s only appropriate to make this my song of the week, since you know, it just is. (Although Chameleon Circuit’s “Kiss the Girl” came really close… ;)
