And a few technical difficulties later...

rawr! so many difficulties getting this to work. first the video doesn't show up then I realize the song at the end randomly cuts off...ugh. I can't fix it, so when the music cuts off at the end, just play this song. If anyone has any ideas on why moviemaker decides to be a pain and cut off midsong, please let me know.
I realized I forgot to answer Sara's last question in the video. So here it is in text instead. Why did the chicken cross the road?

Bill Gates:  I have just released the new Chicken 2000, which will both cross roads AND balance your checkbook, though when it divides 3 by 2 it gets 1.4999999999.

Ronald Reagan: I don't recall.

L.A. Police Department: Give me ten minutes with the chicken and I'll find out.

Richard M. Nixon: The chicken did not cross the road. I repeat, the chicken did not cross the road.

Dr. Seuss: Did the chicken cross the road? Did he cross it with a toad? Yes! The chicken crossed the road, but why it crossed it, I've not been told!

John Locke: Because he was exercising his natural right to liberty.

Albert Camus: It doesn't matter; the chicken's actions have no meaning except to him.

Mulder: It was a government conspiracy.

Scully: It was a simple bio-mechanical reflex that is commonly found in chickens.

Darwin: Chickens, over great periods of time, have been naturally selected in such a way that they are now genetically dispositioned to cross roads.

Grandpa: In my day, we didn't ask why the chicken crossed the road. Someone told us that the chicken had crossed the road, and that was good enough for us.

M.C. Escher: That depends on which plane of reality the chicken was on at the time.

Colonel Sanders: I missed one?

Plato: For the greater good.

Albert Einstein: Whether the chicken crossed the road or the road crossed the chicken depends upon your frame of reference.

Pyrrho the Skeptic: What road?

Emily Dickenson: Because it could not stop for death.

Ernest Hemingway: To die. In the rain.

Here's the Link to the site that explain the Youtube layout differences better than I do. Scroll down for instructions on how to get the new homepage if you want.

Vidcon Links:
General recap - by Karen Kavett (ANNA BETH! LEVELS OF REALITY! lol, random) (This is the video I stole the cool montage from)

Cool Montage <--- I highly recommend this one. It's basically got everything rolled into one video (also Hank dances at the end. It's a must see)

Another Recap - watchmsnnow

Live performance (Felicia Day, George Watsky, Hank Green)

Charlie's speech (update* I was originally going to link to this video because it's the first one I found. It has Charlie's talk plus some singing from people I didn't recognize if you still want to check it out)

really behind the scenes - Corey Vidal/ApprenticeEh - watch Corey break into the Anaheim Convention Center and give an afterVidcon tour

Mainstage Video of Youtubers that couldn't make it to Vidcon this year

Stars at Vidcon - by watchmsnnow

5secondvideos recap of their panel - 5secondfilms is a youtube channel that does exactly what their name says: makes miniture films no longer than 5 seconds. Here's a recap of their panel in their own style.

Vidcon Interviews (this one links to Charlie's interview since I figured Sara would most want to see that, but you can check out the channel for a lot more like interviews with the vlogbrothers, mysteryguitarman, gregory brothers, jenna marbles, and many more)

1 Hour Movie Project

This isn't actually a Vidcon video. It's actually from the BrainSTEM conference a few days before Vidcon in Waterloo, Canada. The conference was dedicated to science and other educational videos, and a lot of the education content creators on YouTube were there (like John Green, CGPGrey, Minutephysics, Vihart, etc). It's like a slightly nerdier version of Vidcon (as impossible as that is lol.) I thought the video was pretty funny so I thought I'd include it.

Oh, and the music heard in the video can be found here:
Goodmorning Sunshine - Alex Day
Forever Yours - Alex Day
Party-time Youtuber - gunnarolla

Ok, I think that's enough links for one post.

Love,
Jill

Seriously? You're going to talk to ME about too many books too read? You've seen my book pile(s) of shame!
Cool video, though :) And so many links! I want to watch them all! I changed my mind- that's what I'd do if I had an extra hour every day...
