What?
Hello from Ayiti. It's over.
It's so over. It's exceedingly over. I'll be leaving this house for America in 24 hours. What? What? What? There was a team here last week that I really liked. I had to say goodbye to them AND to the Kelley's yesterday. Rough day. Also we went swimming, and I got a lot of green in my hair. But anyway, it's been a crazy three months. I can't believe I'm going to be in America tomorrow.... or that I'll be at Disney World on wednesday. WEIRD Oh me oh my.

Hello from my last weekend in Nashville! =D My internship officially ended on Friday, and I’m glad for a few weeks of a break before Vandy starts again. My program is “officially” finished and working properly, but there’s actually a couple of loose ends that I need to take care of before I completely turn over control of the application. I’ll be able to take care of those from my laptop at home, though, so everything’s ok. :) Plus, Sanaa’s here this weekend! It’s been a lot of fun showing her some of my favorite places at Vandy (that a few of you all now know as well ;), and I’m glad for a weekend just of relaxing and hanging out. I’m going to miss Hanna being my summer roommate, but I’ll see her during the school year too. I’m glad that I’ve gotten to get closer to her: the circumstances were completely unexpected for us being roommates, but I wouldn’t dream it differently. It was awesome!!! =D Kind of on the same note, I was sad to say goodbye to my fellow interns. We’ve become quite the group at 2525, and I am hoping to stay in touch with a few of them… and already have future lunch plans with one lol. It was also hard to leave my work group Friday because I’ve become kind of a fifth group member rather than just an intern, if that makes any sense. To commemorate my last day, they took me out to lunch at PF Changs, which was delightful, and I tried a Chinese dumpling for the first time! Yum! =D It’s been a good 10 weeks there, and I’m very thankful for the experience I had. I’m hoping to carry what I’ve learned into my future career, and the challenges I faced with the program really helped me to apply my knowledge beyond just the basic coursework and programs I’ve done… plus supplement it with some areas of Computer Science with which I had no previous experience. I kind of took this as a test run of what I could be doing with my future career, and I think I would enjoy it. I also have some ideas in my head of how I can specialize in graduate school, so we’ll see how those turn out. In separate news, I finished The Fault in Our Stars this week! I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading John Green’s other novels very soon. Of course, that unfortunately meant that I haven’t finished editing the 50 Facts video I owe you all yet. It shall be completed very soon though :) Plus, I finally scheduled my GRE! I’m taking it August 17th… the same day that I’m going back down to Vandy. I go down in the morning with a few more things for the apartment, then take the GRE just after noon. After I’m done, Mark will pick me up (we’re going to see each other again for the first time since July! *squeals*), and we’ll go to the Move Crew (where upperclassmen move in freshman! It’s an awesome Vandy tradition!) meeting about an hour after he picks me up. YAY! Also: I have the last Host Club volume!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m almost through reading it………… SO HAPPY. SO HAPPY. =D The song for this week is a bit of a surprise. I actually heard it because of my dedicated watching of the Olympics every night on NBC: They’ve been doing a good job of advertising for their new series Chicago Fire, and the song track for the promo is this song. I really like the beat and mix of it, so I’m planning on looking up more by Imagine Dragons soon :) Have a great week guys! Hello from my bedroom. I just got back from Rachael's house, so I only have like 30 minutes to post something. This week has been good. It's been very Olympics heavy for me. (Istillloooovvveeeeetheolympics! [despitesomeoftheannoyingcontroversyoverdishonestyincompetingorthefactthatnbccan bekindaannoyingbynotshowingsomethingsthatiwouldliketobetelevsedtoamericanaudiences]) And we've started filming for our webseries, which didn't exactly start smoothly, but I think we're getting better at it. We decided to skip filming today though. Instead, Sara, Anna Beth, Rachael, and I celebrated Esther Day! For those of you that don't know, Esther Day is a nerdfighterian holiday wherein you tell people that you love that you love them, particularly friends and family . It honors nerdfighter and friend to the vlogbrothers, Esther Earl. If you'd like further info, check these out: Esther Day 2011 Esther Day 2012 So we just spent the day together. We had fun playing around in Toys R' Us, and then we went to Rachael's house where we made a cool cake and made plans for when we one day travel to Europe together (and climb the Eiffel Tower 'without ropes' as Sara likes to say.) So, yeah. Our Esther Day was fun. I would have had more to say on stuff (like I was planning on replying to a few of the things from Sara's blog. but I've run out of time [it's 11:59] so I have to post now] -Jill P.S. I Love you guys! Face...of...Boe. FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE FACE OF BOE! FACE. Okay, I'm sorry. This makes no sense whatsoever unless you know what I'm talking about. Then I suppose my AKLSDFJASOJFDOAPSIFHA;FNVCAKLSDJ makes sense. Just saying, my brain is broken and I have a lot of FEELINGS! LOLlksajf lsfja opasoidfcj;asfkldjsas;ao fljsafaueoihfnohaisudj;falskdjfa;sldfjoierjgbhsp;dfghnaslfkjls;f Sorry, normal people. I've been watching Doctor Who. That's all you need to know. Rachael, keep watching it! You know, I had thoughts before watching that 3-part episode, and now I just have ALKJDFAS;JFOIAHGOSIUFJ;ASKFJALK;JSDKFL;JASDKLFJA;LSDFKJSD;GH!!!! Well, there was filming for Expect Squirrels this week. That's a thing. It started out really rough, with tons of complicated shots and technical difficulties, but it went SO much better today. I don't know about you guys, but I actually had fun. :) Then I helped Victoria help her younger sister find classrooms at WKU (she'll be a freshman this year, so everybody be nice to Grace). So yeah. That's that. But mostly, FACE OF BOE!!! -Anna Beth Hello from my friend's apartment! We're having a small going away party for Mackenzie who will be attending UK. We have our first day of filming today, and I don't think I'm the only one who thought it could gone smoother...but that's probably because it was only the first day. After Sanaa and Sara left, AB Jill, and I climbed the climbing tree and had a small meeting of what each of us thought tomorrow's scene was suppose to go and we planned out how that was suppose to go. If all goes well tomorrow, it should mean for smooth filming in the future!
Uhh...I'm going to try to join back in the conversation now instead of being on my phone..haha like that's any different from the usual. See most of you tomorrow! Rachael |
